24Rent’s shared cars are located all over Finland. The cars are conveniently accessed digitally with your own phone, and there is no need to pick up the keys separately.

Claiming the Membership Benefit

1. Fill out your contact information on the form found on the 24Rent website.
2. After submitting the form, you will receive an email through which you can claim the membership benefit.
3. Choose the city from which you want to rent a car and the date and time you want to use the car.
4. Select the desired rental car.
5. After booking, you will receive a booking confirmation via email.
6. When the reservation begins, you can unlock the car doors with your phone. The keys will be inside the car.
7. Refuel the rental car at the end of your reservation and return the car.
8. Close the car doors with your own phone.

Long Play is an online publication launched in 2013. Long Play focuses on slow-moving journalism, publishing investigative journalism, extensive reports, profiles and essays from some of Finland’s best writers.

Long Play offers members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union an annual subscription at a special price of €44 (normally €59).

In addition to new articles, the annual subscription includes the entire extensive reading list with audiobooks: factual stories, investigative journalism, essays and reports. At the end of the week, a Friday Letter is sent to your email inbox, containing a thought-provoking column and news and reading recommendations from the editorial team. In addition, the website always offers shorter, topical reading: news, investigative pieces and cultural journalism.

Long Play content can be enjoyed however and wherever you like: long stories can be read directly from the website, downloaded to your reading device or listened to as an audio book.

Eckerö Line offers members of the SAK member organizations a discount of up to 50% on the m/s Finlandia’s passenger and vehicle ticket prices for both cruise and route trips.

Grant Academy may offer some clients a success fee model, in which the work is charged at 50% of the normal price. In addition, the Academy charges a 10% (+ VAT) fee from awarded grants.

Upon special request, work can also be carried out on a pro bono basis, meaning the service is provided free of charge. The success fee typically ranges between 10% and 20%, depending on the case. This model is always agreed separately with the client.

Background

Try Mute, the health platform and wellbeing service for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union and the Trade Union for Theatre and Media Finland, Teme! The service has been developed in partnership with Esoter Oy, a specialist in sports and medicine. 

Guided by an intelligent algorithm, the service provides you with an assessment of the state of your health and a programme that suits your needs and goals. You can choose the right programme for you, for example to promote your well-being or to prevent stress and underlying diseases. 

Mute supports users through a personalised programme tailored to their needs. On the platform, you will find sections on general wellbeing and health-related exercise, as well as stretching or relaxation exercises. The service will advise you and monitor your progress.

Registering for the service

The Finnish Musicians’ Union and Teme, offer their members the service at an introductory price of €12 for a year (€1/month). You can try the service for free for the first two weeks. 

The service is based on scientific indicators. In order to provide you with a programme that is right for you, the service will ask you for some initial information, such as your age and gender. The service is browser-based.

Freelancemuusikot ry organises yoga on Mondays between 23.3.–1.6.2026. The exact time will be informed soon. The yoga classes will be held online via Google Meets.

Yoga classes are low-threshold yoga practices open to all, with the goal of holistic body and mind wellness. The content of the classes is specifically designed to meet the needs of musicians. The instructor is yoga teacher Sami Alanen.

Please bring flexible clothing and a yoga mat or other soft surface.

All members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union are welcome, regardless of their branch. You can join in at any time, even in the middle of the season, and there is no need to register in advance. The seasonal fee is the same regardless of when you join.

There will be 10 yoga classes during the spring season, and the season fee for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union is €20. The first class is a free introductory class.

The Musicians’ Sickness Fund has agreed on new benefits with the nationwide PlusTerveys Group. PlusTerveys offers 10% discount on the list prices of its services. No office or billing fees are charged to insured members of the Fund. The benefit can be redeemed by presenting a valid Musicians’ Union membership card at the clinic. Reimbursements from the Sickness Fund are applied for according to the usual instructions.

In addition, PlusTerveys offers other benefits to insured members and their family members:

• For insured members: a 15% discount on teeth whitening performed by a dental hygienist

The ferry company Viking Line offers a discount for members of the member unions of SAK for year 2025. The discount is up to 30-50% off the daily price, depending on the season and route.

The final price is determined by the departure date, departure time, and booking time. Changes made to the reservation later may also affect the price of previously booked services. The discount is not valid during peak season or on public holidays.

Shopify is an website platform that allows you to create your own website and manage your online store with ease. It’s perfect for artists, musicians and bands because of its easy-to-use online shop that makes selling tickets and merchandise a breeze.

The website can be customized according to your brand and style. The platform can be linked to social media channels, Spotify and YouTube. Shopify also integrates with a Spotify account, allowing listeners to browse online merchandise directly from the artist or band’s account.

Niclas Etelävuori offers a customised Shopify online store for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union at a member price.
