Support for Work Situations
Our staff provides support for work situations and challenges.
The members have access to shop stewards who manage issues related to collective agreements, problems at individual workplaces and nationwide matters. Freelancers can contact the Finnish Musicians’ Union’s Shop Steward and Freelance Coordinator.
The Shop Stewards for orchestral musicians are workplace-specific. The Shop Steward for freelancers is Juho Viljanen.
Freelance Coordinator works with a variety of tasks to improve the field of freelance workers. Jaakko Kämäräinen is working as a Freelance Coordinator.

Equality
The Finnish Musicians’ Union is committed to promoting equality, eliminating harassment, and addressing other inappropriate behavior in the Finnish music industry, as well as creating safer spaces for professionals.
