Long Play is an online publication launched in 2013. Long Play focuses on slow-moving journalism, publishing investigative journalism, extensive reports, profiles and essays from some of Finland’s best writers.

Long Play offers members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union an annual subscription at a special price of €44 (normally €59).

In addition to new articles, the annual subscription includes the entire extensive reading list with audiobooks: factual stories, investigative journalism, essays and reports. At the end of the week, a Friday Letter is sent to your email inbox, containing a thought-provoking column and news and reading recommendations from the editorial team. In addition, the website always offers shorter, topical reading: news, investigative pieces and cultural journalism.

Long Play content can be enjoyed however and wherever you like: long stories can be read directly from the website, downloaded to your reading device or listened to as an audio book.

Members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union receive a 20% discount on concert tickets and drinks at G Livelab venues in Helsinki and Tampere through the G Livelab app.

Musical Theatre Kapsäkki is a professional theatre located in the Vallila district of Helsinki. Its repertoire consists of musical plays and concerts for audiences of all ages. In addition to its 200-seat theatre, Kapsäkki also houses Restaurant Bistro K. Musical Theatre Kapsäkki was founded in 2000 as a cooperative theatre by artists, with the aim of offering the audience modern and bold musical theatre for both children and adults.

Musical Theatre Kapsäkki offers members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union a professional ticket to the theatre’s own performances at a discounted price of EUR 20. This offer is valid starting from the beginning of 2025. One ticket per member per performance with the membership card. The discount can be redeemed by email at least one week before the performance: info@kapsakki.fi.

Kapsäkki’s current program includes the adventure musical Around the World in 80 Days, UKK – A Carnivalesque Musical Play about Urho Kekkonen, and the family musical Maisteri Molto and the Case of the Missing.
