The Finnish Musicians’ Union is a member union of SAK. The union belongs to SAK’s services sector negotiating committee. The jurisdiction of the Musicians’ Sick Fund consists of members of the local branches of the Finnish Musicians’ Union who are over 16 years old but under 68 years old with the exception of pensioner members.

The Copyright Organization Kopiosto oversees rights related to photocopying and the retransmission of radio and television programs. The Finnish Musicians’ Union is a member of Kopiosto.

AEPO is a federation of European performers’ organizations managing copyright rights. The Finnish Musicians’ Union’s membership in AEPO is through Gramex.

International Music Council IMC

Established by UNESCO in 1949, the International Music Council (IMC) is the world’s largest network of organizations and institutions operating in the field of music. The International Music Council promotes access to music for all and the value of music in everyone’s life. The core of the organization’s activities is music rights, based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Charter of the International PEN Foundation for Freedom of Expression, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
