Body care services at a discounted price for members
Työhuone Massage offers the members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union a 60-minute sports massage at a discounted price of EUR 50 (regular price EUR 60).
Simo Kellokumpu is a mental coach and sports masseur working in the fields of culture and sports. He serves his clients in his calm office in Kallio, Helsinki, at Pengerkatu 7 until the end of March, after which he will be located at a new address: Hakaniemenranta 26 (entrance from the seaside).
Musicians' Sick Fund
The benefits offered by the Musicians’ Sick Fund include daily allowance for loss of work opportunities due to illness, reimbursement of psychiatrist statement costs related to seeking rehabilitation psychotherapy, reimbursement of dental care and hearing examination expenses, as well as reimbursement of hearing protection procurement costs and reimbursement of hospital and health center treatment day fees.
Pilates for Musicians
Tampereen Muusikot ry organizes pilates for musicians on Wednesdays at 12.15 pm.
Pilates instructor is Maarit Laurila. The classes will be held at the Dance Studio Razzmatazz at Aleksis Kiven katu 18 B, 4th floor.
There is no need to register in advance. Classes cost 8 € and will be invoiced at the end of the season to the Tampereen Muusikot ry according to the number of classes attended.

UniSport Sports Centers
UniSport Sports Centers in Helsinki and Espoo offer the members of the Union reduced prices for both full and half-day cards. With the UniSport card, you can go to the gym, group sports classes and ball games. UniSport offers also dance and yoga classes as well as strength and endurance classes. UniSport centres are located in Kluuvi, Meilahti, Töölö, Otaniemi, Kumpula and Viikki.
UniSport offers full-day and half-day passes for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union at a discounted price.
To redeem the discount, present your Finnish Musicians’ Union membership card at the UniSport customer service.

Yoga for Musicians
Freelance Musicians: Online Yoga for Musicians
Freelancemuusikot ry organises yoga on Tuesdays at 9.30-10.30. The spring season starts on Tuesday 25 February 2025. The yoga classes will be held online via Google Meets.
Yoga classes are low-threshold yoga practices open to all, with the goal of holistic body and mind wellness. The content of the classes is specifically designed to meet the needs of musicians. The instructor is yoga teacher Sami Alanen.
Please bring flexible clothing and a yoga mat or other soft surface.
All members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union are welcome, regardless of their branch. You can join in at any time, even in the middle of the season, and there is no need to register in advance. The seasonal fee is the same regardless of when you join.
There will be 10 yoga classes during the spring season, and the season fee for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union is €20. The first class is a free introductory class.
If after the introductory class you wish to participate in the yoga classes of the spring season, the season fee is payable to the account of the Freelancemuusikot ry:

Do you need support to promote your well-being? Want to know more about your health?
Try Mute, the health platform and wellbeing service for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union and the Trade Union for Theatre and Media Finland, Teme! The service has been developed in partnership with Esoter Oy, a specialist in sports and medicine.
Guided by an intelligent algorithm, the service provides you with an assessment of the state of your health and a programme that suits your needs and goals. You can choose the right programme for you, for example to promote your well-being or to prevent stress and underlying diseases.
Mute supports users through a personalised programme tailored to their needs. On the platform, you will find sections on general wellbeing and health-related exercise, as well as stretching or relaxation exercises. The service will advise you and monitor your progress.
For example, you can choose a programme that supports the following objectives:
- Prevention of type 2 diabetes
- Well-being
- Stress and resources in everyday life
- Healthy exercise
- Prevention of musculoskeletal disorders
Registering for the service
The Finnish Musicians’ Union and Teme, offer their members the service at an introductory price of €12 for a year (€1/month). You can try the service for free for the first two weeks.
The service is based on scientific indicators. In order to provide you with a programme that is right for you, the service will ask you for some initial information, such as your age and gender. The service is browser-based.
