24Rent’s shared cars are located all over Finland. The cars are conveniently accessed digitally with your own phone, and there is no need to pick up the keys separately.

The benefit is valid for bookings of up to seven days. The benefit does not apply to fuel, VIP cars or additional services.

The members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union can make a reservation for the light-weight audio equipment owned by the Union for one-off performances. Borrowers must take care of the necessary transportation themselves. In Helsinki, any matters related to borrowing are handled by the Union office; in other towns and cities, the local branches will take care of them. The equipment in Helsinki is listed below. Contact information is available at the bottom of the page.

The purpose of lending audio equipment is first and foremost to facilitate performance activities, of which cost structure is normally disproportionately focused on audio equipment consuming a major part of the performance fee. The intention is also to support performers and bands that, for various reasons, are not yet able or cannot afford to acquire their own equipment. The event organizer or other party should not be charged rent for the equipment. The intention is that the portion saved on equipment rents will go towards paying the actual performers.

Adaptable equipment

The adaptable equipment includes:

• JBL powered speakers, which can also be used as monitors
• 8-16 channel mixers (Mackie and Soundcraft)
• Basic effects equipment and equalizers
• Vocal and instrument microphones and stands
• Necessary cables

The intention is to keep the equipment as simple as possible, and the equipment is lent to users who are able to use it appropriately. The borrower is liable for intentional or negligent damage to or loss of the equipment, so you should take good care of the equipment. Pick-up and return times are agreed upon in advance and they must be complied with. If you fail to act accordingly, you may lose your right to borrow equipment in the future.

This is a personal coaching experience that provides tools, guidance, and support for structuring and communicating your work. The service is specifically aimed at artists who have already released music.

In the coaching sessions, you’ll receive feedback, ideas, and new perspectives to help clarify and enhance your career. You’ll also get advice on specific questions and issues, including the common lack of knowledge in the industry. A safe environment, fresh viewpoints, and encouraging thoughts will certainly bring new strength, hope, and a clearer vision to your work.

The mentors are music industry influencer and music journalist Lotta Savolainen, and communications expert Katja Tolonen.

Lotta Savolainen creates new spaces and cultural opportunities, particularly focusing on recognizing the value of independent artists. She has built a multifaceted career in Finnish music, working as a music creator, press officer, agent, mentor, and music journalist. Strengthening the diversity of the music industry and unwavering commitment to values are central to Savolainen’s work. Katja Tolonen is a co-founder of the communications agency Röd. One of Röd’s main focuses is bringing new music into the spotlight. With over six years of intensive work in Finnish music, Tolonen has a strong belief in the high quality of music produced in Finland. Röd helps artists gain visibility for their music while also expanding the music offerings to a broader audience. Tolonen is also a music creator herself, with over 20 years of experience in the industry from both the major label and independent artist perspectives.

The coaching includes a 60-minute remote session (via Zoom) and a follow-up check-in via email.
