24Rent offers members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union a 10% discount on all car-sharing services 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The discount is also valid on weekends and public holidays. The discount applies to cars, vans and minibuses.

24Rent’s shared cars are located all over Finland. The cars are conveniently accessed digitally with your own phone, and there is no need to pick up the keys separately.

The benefit is valid for bookings of up to seven days. The benefit does not apply to fuel, VIP cars or additional services.

Artist residences

The Finnish Musicians’ Union has three artist residences: in Kreuzberg in Berlin, Fulham in London and Villa Vikan residence in Raasepori.

The residences are furnished with work-related equipment. The members can use the residences, for instance, for working or promotional purposes.

Members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union and family members are welcome to travel to the residency with the applicant. Other people are also welcome to Villa Vikan. Villa Vikan’s cabin no. 2 can also accommodate pets, but they are not allowed in the other buildings.

Application periods

The Finnish Musicians’ Union’s residencies are open for applications two times a year:

• Weeks 1–26 of the first half of the year are open for applications during the weeks 36–37
• Weeks 27–52 of the second half of the year are open for applications during the weeks 10–11

Eckerö Line offers members of the SAK member organizations a discount of up to 20% on the m/s Finlandia’s passenger and vehicle ticket prices for both cruise and route trips.

The discount applies to up to three bookings per person during 2025, with a maximum of 9 people per booking.

• The 20% discount is valid on departures from Sunday to Friday between January 1, 2025, and June 8, 2025, as well as from August 11, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
• A 10% discount is valid every day from June 9, 2025, to August 10, 2025, and on Saturdays from January 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

As a member of the Finnish Musicians’ Union, you have access to benefits offered by the Finnish Hostel Association.

The Hostel Association and its network of nearly 50 hostels are part of the global Hostelling International (HI) network, which includes about 3500 hostels in nearly 90 countries. Hostels are open to everyone and provide affordable and individual accommodation options for leisure or business travel, alone or in groups. Members of the Hostel Association’s member organizations, as well as individuals with a hostel card, receive discounts on their accommodation.

Discount on accommodation in domestic hostels

Members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union receive a 10% price advantage at the Hostel Association’s network of hostels in Finland. You get the discount when you make a reservation through the website www.hostellit.fi or directly at the hostel. The discount is given when you arrive at the hostel and prove your membership. You can also prove your entitlement to the discount with the Domestic Hostel Card, which you can order from the Hostel Association free of charge.

Free Domestic Hostel Card

Members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union can order the Domestic Hostel Card for free. With the Domestic Hostel Card, you get a 10% price advantage at the Hostel Association’s network of hostels in Finland, as well as several other hostel card benefits. You receive the accommodation discount when you make a reservation at www.hostellit.fi or directly at the hostel.

You can order the free Domestic Hostel Card from the Hostel Association’s website. The card will be sent to you as an email attachment.

International Hostel Card at a member price

Members can purchase the International Hostel Card at a discounted price. With the International Hostel Card, you receive a 10% price advantage on your accommodation at all Hostelling International (HI) hostels in Finland and around the world. You receive the accommodation discount when you make a reservation directly at the hostel. With the International Hostel Card, you also receive many other hostel card benefits both in Finland and abroad.

You can purchase the International Hostel Card at a member price from the Hostel Association’s online store.

GreenStar Hotels offer affordable accommodation at a fixed price to members of SAK member unions in Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Lahti, Vaasa, and Oulu.

Ikaalinen Spa & Resort offers members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union a discount for accommodation. The discount is valid until the end of 2025.

The Ikaalinen Spa & Resort, a recently renovated hotel with a long history, offers discounted accommodation for Union members until the end of 2025. The spa hotel is equipped with all modern comforts and is located in the beautiful lake scenery of Pirkanmaa, near sandy beaches. Some rooms are situated in the main building, which houses the spa, reception, and restaurants, while others are located in separate buildings just a short walk away.

Ikaalinen Spa & Resort offers members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union a 20% discount on the daily rate. The accommodation includes breakfast and free access to the spa and gym.

This offer is valid until the end of 2025 (excluding Summer Evening Festival, Venetian Festival and Christmas) and applies to rooms in the main building and the Loft building. The discount cannot be combined with other offers. You can find the discount code by logging into the Union’s Member Page.

Scandic hotels offer special rates for members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union. The discount can be obtained by entering the discount code when booking. You can find the code by logging in to the Members page.

Please note that the benefit price is calculated based on the Full Flex price, which includes the right to cancel or change your booking on the day of travel.

A membership card must be presented on request.

The ferry company Tallink Silja offers a travel discount for members of the member unions of SAK for leisure trips in 2025. The discount is 10-30% off the regular price.

The ferry company Viking Line offers a discount for members of the member unions of SAK for year 2025. The discount is up to 30-50% off the daily price, depending on the season and route.

The final price is determined by the departure date, departure time, and booking time. Changes made to the reservation later may also affect the price of previously booked services. The discount is not valid during peak season or on public holidays.
