Digital Club Project
In the Digital Club project of the Finnish Musicians’ Union, the G Livelab concept was further developed. The project, which ran from 2022 to 2025, was funded through structural support from the Ministry of Education and Culture (OKM). This support promotes the renewal and digitalization of services, production, and operating models in the cultural and creative industries. The structural support was financed by the European Union.
In the Digital Club project, a digital club concept was created and piloted. The aim was to build a digital software and content package covering the core elements of the G Livelab concept:
- digital customer experience
- business tools and software
- technical infrastructure, including sound, lighting, and production technology, as well as
- venue specifications, including spatial design, acoustics, and ventilation.
The project brought the advanced G Livelab club concept into a digital form.
The desired outcome is a top-level music club concept with operations optimized from the perspectives of the audience, performers, and staff alike. Another aim was to support the long-term development and renewal of the entire industry by making use of the project’s results. The concept and club implementations can be replicated and reproduced – also beyond Finland.
