The Finnish Musicians’ Union membership fees will be updated as of 1 January 2026 – A-kassa’s membership fee remains the same

The membership fee of the Finnish Musicians’ Union is decided annually by the General Assembly, and the membership fee for the Open Unemployment Fund A-kassa is determined by the Financial Supervisory Authority.

The Finnish Musicians’ Union membership fees as of 1 January 2026 are:

▪ Full member: €32.70/month
▪ Student member: €13.20/month
▪ Retired member: €56.90/year

The membership fee for the Open Unemployment Fund A-kassa will remain unchanged at €8/month. Members of the Finnish Musicians’ Union who belong to A-kassa pay the unemployment fund fee in addition to the union fee.

Remember to pay your membership fee on time

Since the beginning of 2025, the Finnish Musicians’ Union has sent membership fee instructions once a year. The instructions for 2025 were sent in week 4/2025, and the instructions for 2026 will also be sent in January. Membership fees are paid monthly according to the information provided in the instructions.

  • The due date for the November (1–30 November) membership fee was 5 December 2025.
  • The due date for the December (1–31 December) membership fee is 5 January 2026.

If you have set up an e-invoice agreement with the union, the invoice can be found in your online bank.
